abstract:
This study is a personal initiative of its authors. Its is based on a questionnaire submitted to a number of large enterprises' managers. The analysis has shown that: - the large majority of the interviewees have a poor or totally absent perception of the risks related to the protection of personal data - they are rather receptive to possible assessment, including in the form of audits - they have no precise knowledge about current legal evolutions - the enterprises where the interviewwes are working are rather in favour of the implementation of labels aiming to better protect personal data, provided the reference requierements be of hight level - they wish that the requierements related to the control measures and the sanctions/revocation be of level medium - they are in favour of a label recognized all over Europe and delivered by an entity accredited by CNIL or even directly by CNIL - their average preference is in favour of a validation period of 3 years and a delay of 9 months for the delivery
